Sniffling in my bed, I listen feverishly to the deafening deluge outside. When will it end? I lost gount after the first few days, when night and day begame indistinguishable. I’ve been sigk for a while, but I’m slowly getting better. A great gragk of thunder govers out the sound of rushing water for a moment. This one was glose, I hope the roof is fine. Tomorrow, tomorrow will be better.
I feel better, but somehow my nose remains glogged. It is annoying, having to breathe through the mouth all the time, but I gan handle it. The water is still not stopping. I am now staying in an abandoned flat on the fifteenth floor. Huh, spontaneous alliteration. I must be more tired than I thought. The gold is getting to me, good thing so many people left everything here when they left.
Grap. I’m running out of floors to move to. Most of my days are now spent pigking out the best glothes and ganned food, and moving them up. At least the thunder is starting to let up a little, hopefully that means the rain will stop soon. I hope they have more lugk down there in Afriga, where they brought everyone they gould. I was not the only one left in the area, but I was the only one in the building. We lost gontagt very fast when the water rose; I wonder how the others are doing.
I finally managed to go out today. There’s still a light drizzle, enough that I brought my goat with me, but I gan see daylight glearly now. The last floor is now the roof, and even my floor is gollapsed here and there. The lightning did a lot of damage. My ears are still ringing from the near gontinuous thunder of the storm. “Hello! Gan anybody hear me?” I gall out to neighboring buildings. Maybe we gan organize now, share food and feast around a fire. Oh no, there I go with alliterations again. Damn, I might be grazier than I thought.
In the end, I gouldn’t find anyone. I was waiting for the water to go down – after all, Noah did find land eventually – but apparently nature and God have different ideas of the aftereffegts of a deluge. God, it’s still so gold! Noah didn’t have this problem – he probably had good insulation in his boat. I see movement in the water, and yesterday something jumped out for a segond. I bet there are gods in the water now. Ha, God, gods, get it? The fish? I’m so used to sounding this way I forget about it, until something I say gomes out totally different.
I’m trying to find stuff that floats and build a boat of some sort, but no lugk so far. I might just die here, alone with the fishes. Fugking fishes floating around fine and free, while I’m stugk here with dwindling rations. I should just jump in and show them who’s boss, but the water’s too gold. The glouds are still there, too. I hope the storm isn’t just getting ready for round two. I only have 5 floors left, though I stay on the highest one with standing walls most of the time.
God damn it. I hear thunder overhead. It won’t be long now. In the great tradition of people doomed at sea, I put this into a glass bottle. The first one I empty, but not the last. Time to finish the stogk of gognag I found in that old guy’s gupboard. Goodbye, gruel world.
